Ettore Favini

Cremona, 1974

Favini taps the experience of listening to “minor” narratives to fuel works that map the relationship between people and their environment. His works, which tend to be site-specific, are developed through a long growth process that renders them living organism, never truly finished: open-ended devices of vision in which the work partakes in life and the viewer become an active participant. Since 2015 he has been carrying out investigative work on the Mediterranean identity and its contradictions

He is currently a member of the Visual Arts faculty of NABA – the New Academy of Fine Arts – in Milan and teaching painting at Accademia G. Carrara, Bergamo
